The second draft of The Art of Resistance is complete!
Following a successful 2021 in screen writing competitions, we took on board some the feedback we received from the readers and reworked the screenplay. We tightened the plot and put more focus on the central characters. The result, we think, is a narrative that has more pace and tells the story of these heroic characters in a clearer and more dynamic way.

It’s been a busy summer and autumn for our screenplay project, The Art of Resistance. And what a time it has been!
The highlight was winning the Best Narrative Feature Award at the New Hope Film Festival in the US. The script was also only one of three scripts that were nominated for a Special Jury Award. Unfortunately, COVID restrictions meant that we were unable to travel to the festival to receive the award in person.
We were also extremely proud to receive a Bronze Award at the LGBQT Unbordered International Film Festival, also in the US, earlier this year. That accolade was very special to us given that many of the principal characters in the story were gay - and part of our motivation to tell this story was that for many years the heroism of some of the main protagonists was airbrushed out of history because of their sexuality.
All in all, exciting times for The Art of Resistance!
